Defintiely the type of sale that warrants its own thread. The Video Connection/Movie Gallery on Secor (not Westgate, down the street a bit nearer to Best Buy) has been dumping ground for their crap for a while. They've always had good deals, but this is the type of absurd sale that makes you happy to be a collector.
Yes, you read the title right. EVERYTHING in the store is buy 2, get 4 free. I've went back a few times over the course of a few days and have probably come out with 220 games, and I'd be unlucky if I hit the $120 mark. They had to help me load the car with boxes of games because the bags wouldn't hold.
Now, don't get me wrong. Most of this stuff is crap. Tons of sports stuff, but when they have N64, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, and Genesis stuff for $.49 in additon to the b2g4 sale, who cares? Ok, I bought all the PS1 stuff they had, but the rest is still there, and they have cheap knock-off controllers and such too. Never hurts to have a few extra N64 rumble packs.
They have current gen stuff too, a lot of which is still sealed but marked used. I got a ton of Xbox games, a few UMD movies, and PS2 stuff. Great Escape, Judge Dredd, Malice, Swingerz Golf, and Gladiator were only a few I got sealed.
Keep in mind this sale also includes their DVD stock (usually about $10 a pop, though it comes out cheaper with the sale obviously), a few thousand VHS tapes (again, most at $.49), and shitloads of candy. My buddy took a trip with me and picked up a dozen DVDs for $40.
If you live anywhere near the area, it's worth checking on to fill holes. Don't go in expecting Suikoden II to be sitting there. They don't think this is going to go on much longer, but if this ends, they told me they'll stick with Buy 2 get 3 free. Still a hell of a deal.
