Does anyone know of a good book or website for learning C programming or one that you've personally used to learn it? Also, do you think it would be easier to learn C and then learn C++ instead of trying to grasp programming in your first language plus all the object-oriented concepts? :? :help:

There aren't any programmers here?

Well, there are programmers here but the best help I can offer is training in the ancient and obsolete LOGO language.

I know there's a lot of die hard programmers over at atariage.com

Get C for Dummies. It helped me through my C programming class a bit.

I'm going to try to get you more hits/responses by moving this into the gaming forum. The serious programmers are more likely to see it there.

(POG was right)

This one:

It's probably the best one to learn programming in C++ from because it assumes you have no prior knowledge and so takes things from the beginning. It also has a very good approach to teaching which unlike most other beginners books isn't patronising or condescending. Plus it also teaches good coding style, which may seem irrelevant but is actually one of the most useful things you should know when programming.

Hope it helps.

I fyou want to learn how to program games in C++...check out this site...This guy was my teacher in college, granted I never got past some text based dungeon scrollers, but he has pretty easy tuturials that you can follow. he has tutuals for basic game engines and grafics.
