View Full Version : Got a quick Slim PS2 question

I'm getting a modded slim-ps2 in the mail pretty soon but it isn't coming with any controllers or cables or anything. I've got an extra set from my old style PS2 though. Will those work on the slim PS2?

it should not be a problem.
I think the only issue is with a multi tap no longer fitting (but don't quote me on that :) )

I think you will need the AC adaptor. Everything else should work.

Is the slim PS2's power supply external? I was thinking I could just use the power cord from the old PS2 and I'd be fine. Is that not the case?

the power supply is indeed external, like the gamecube's. it won't work with the original ps2 cord.
The Multitap for the 1st PS2 wont work on the slimmy.
But I have seen a $5 adapter at Best Buy that'll allow it to work. That's the only place I've seen it.

mmm only thing that will work is the AV cables and the controller.
Gamestop has AC cables for like $15, cheapest you will probably find.
