sony has announced a new update for your psp. this new update allows users to play flash media on your psp. never before allowed. classic games can now be played on your psp without it being modded

Flash videos will play I think, but Quicktime and Windows Media videos will not.

I'm pretty sure there is a homebrew Flash app that will run on older firmware, in case you aren't ready to give up emulation on your PSP yet.

I haven't tried it, but everyone that has says the homebrew Flash app is way better than the official Sony one. Supposed to run a lot faster.

I have the update downloaded onto my PSP but haven't updated, I know i won't be using emulators on it for a long time (Especially since it's on 2.5 now) But i don't know if i should update.

I'm not going to be buying GTA for the PSP anytime soon unless it hits $20 new.. (Some people will be saying what does this have to do with it, GTA can load a file for loading emulators on PSPs in the 2.01-2.60 firmware range)

And i think i'm going to be using the PSP for music, movies and web browing the most these days.

Cool news, nice to see Sony supporting the format. There's lots of great flash games out there, and they usually don't take up too much space, so you can put lots of games on a Memory Stick. Time to play some Alien Hominid (http://www.play-free-games.org/play-54.html) on the go!
