I am there with you. I was waiting for some more info on this apart from some tiny photos in Famitsu. I guess they are not ready to show it yet.
I still haven't played the PSP installment, though, so even it it's a long wait I'll have something to tide me over.

this game is like in my top 3 most wanted! I can't wait to see what they do with it. I hope it's not an enhanced tenchu woh engine. that would a be a big disapointment. but from whayt I hear it is back in aquires hands, developers of the original tenchu :-P that's a good thing.
brign back the "cult Manji" aquire! ( fans of the original tenchu know what I'm talking about) :)
anyway what do you guys think? what do you wana see in the next Tenchu?

Man this is a rare group indeed. I haven't heard anyone mention tenchu in years.
I don't know what happened to the series. Will it go a major retooling like resident evil or Tomb Raider?

Tenchu: Return from Darkness was a pretty good looking game (too darn bad it's the first game to get affected by the Philips drive failing on the system I use), but overall the level of quality compared to other games out at the time has fallen in recent times. I don't think the series needs a too drastic changeover in terms of mechanics, but the AI and looks could stand some improvement, certainly.

sure, I agree with you. tenchu dosen't need major change. and from what I saw on the 360 version video it looks like much of the same ol' tenchu we all love but much prettier and bigger hopefully.
I didn't play the xbox version. my faves were the psx original and fatal shadows even though it was only a side game it was cool.
umm, how do you post pics in here? x_x

I'm still puzzled on posting pics in here @_@ anyway, in the mean tiem lets talk Tenchu...
from what I understadn fromsoft is shooting for a holiday finish date at least in Japan. I would be surprised if it came out this year in the states. I'd say more like march 2007 is more likely but who knows? :)
my feature wish list:
-Destrutable enviroments( lets face it, we are getting spoiled in this next generation)
- Deep map editor! nuff said
-real time weather system
-cusomizable maps. not to be confused with a editor. customize/change the weather, lighting, layout etc.
-return of the original manji from tenchu 1
-schoolgirl ayame costume/customization LOL

See that "Img" box above the window where you write your post? Click that, see what it puts down, put in the URL of the image you want to post, then click it again. You can write it in manually, too.

I personally find these two options to be useless. The original game had a map editor (Japanese only?) but I never messed with it. I'd rather have a polished game than have them spend extra time on a map editor, but as they say better tools make for better games.
-real time weather system
-cusomizable maps. not to be confused with a editor. customize/change the weather, lighting, layout etc.
Fold the first into the second, they're the same thing. I personally would like different variations of the map to be unlocked, with lighting conditions (for example) that could significantly change how the game's played.
For example, daylight allows shadows under an overhang, but maybe in the night version there's a torch placed there so you can't walk through without being seen. Rain could drive characters to stay under shelter.
-return of the original manji from tenchu 1
That'd be fun.
-schoolgirl ayame costume/customization LOL
No comment, aside from saying that more Ayame = better!
