What are the most worthwhile ones to get?

Not many... can only think of Naruto 3, Bonk and Adv Island off the top of my head.

If you're into Donkey Konga, then the Japanese releases as they have completely different song lists (but you'll need a Japanese Cube to save properly).
Later Naruto games are better than the ones released in the US.

No, just a japanese formated Memory card ;)
(which I think you can do in-game)

Hmmm I think we had a discussion about all of this on NTSC-UK way back in the day. I'll have to go and recheck things.
Mr. Driller: Drill Land (http://www.paleface.net/cgi-bin/gdb/n.pl?c=175) (also needs a Japanese formated memory card).

Not really an exclusive per se, but the Japanese Sonic Gems has the original music for Sonic CD and a host of extra unlockable MegaDrive games not present in the US version, Bare Knuckle 1-3 being the highlights.

These all sound like fun games. Is there a cost effective way to mod a Wii to play these Gamecube imports?

Buying a Freeloader should do.

Wow, someone revived my two-year-old thread! :D
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, especially Dream Mix!
(I had nearly forgotten about that one.)

I used to own it for the cube. I sold it during its brief period of rarity, but I liked it a lot more than Smash bros.

Yeah, it was me. I hate starting new threads only to have them locked by a mod minutes later.
I bought a buttload of import Cube games last year and I'm just getting around to opening and playing them now, so I thought I should bring this one back from the dead since Cube games are getting cheaper now.
And sorry to correct snes_collector, but you can't use the Freeloader on the Wii now for import GameCube games due to the updates that Nintendo has worked into its newest releases and its online channel updates. There isn't any way around this for the foreseeable future. There's a major thread running in Modern Gaming about it right now:

My best suggestion is to spend the money you would have spent on the Wii Freeloader to buy a black or purple used complete GameCube and a cheap Cube Freeloader.
The Freeloader also won't work on platinum GameCubes due to the component port being removed. I don't know exactly what that has to due with the Cube's ability to work with the Freeloader, but I own one of every color and the platinum Cube is the only one that won't enable the Cube Freeloader to work.
Hope this helps.

Which imports do you own?
Care to post some pics for me? :)

Oh yea, I forgot about that, sorry about that.
Anyway, for me personally, I never play my GC games on my Wii so I'm good with my launch GC.
