Alright I finally picked up Symphony of the Night for a decent price (i think its great so far btw). Anyway, the song right at the beginning of the game, when ur fighting the dude on the throne was deffinitely used in another game, or at least a segment of the song, what game was it? Its killing me I don't know cuz I know I really like this game.

Argh, I was thinking of the song from Castlevania 2. He does a song from the mansion on an album, although I'm not sure if it was used in the game or if he did as a tribute to it. I also heard Nine Inch Nails play Zelda tune live.

If you're fighting a guy on a throne, it's supposed to be the very end of Rondo of Blood; if that's the case, then the song should be called 'Illusionary Dance' from Rondo of Blood.

I have never played any of the other castlevania games, so I know it't not that..

In the US it's called Dance of Illusions, and the Symphony of the Night soundtrack was most definitely composed by Michiru Yamane. To my knowledge, it's been used in:

Rondo of Blood (PC Engine/Snes)
Symphony of the Night
Castlevania 64
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

I would know, since I've played all of them. I don't remember it being used in any of the recent games, though.

Oh, and you're fighting Dracula, by the way.

I don't recall, but maybe in Goemon on the SNES when you fight Dracula it plays Dance of Illusions? I haven't played that game, so I wouldn't know.

It's used in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow as a bonus song in Julius mode.

i figured out where i heard it from and it wasnt a game. it plays on the main page of my tg16 emulator. thanks for your help peoples.
