After such wait, and time, the project I started nearly a year ago, is in the form of this, the Genesis Prodigy. Based off of G-Force's, it's pretty simplistic, except for resoldering the teeney controller traces. I used the old Intec Screen, meaning the audio amp chip was fried, so I got a Hip gear one, and works kinda good, though in kinda noisy rooms, the sound isn't really that audible, and the volume controler potentiameter won't mute. It can you know, play 32X and Sega CD, which I personally like, and if you don't like the built in controls, connect your own. Battery are 4 AA's to run, and 8AA's to run for a while. Of course, the wall adapter is OK, and you can use the normal Genesis 2 A/V cord for TV hookup, and the wall adapter is Sega or PSONE. I hope to fix up the action buttons panel, and thank you all for your support, bye guys, for now.

Also, since I fried my PSONE, I'll be BAck!

Also guys, sorry for being so dorman, been working in my basement (any puns/jokes on that will result in an adolescent wail! FEAR TEH WAIL)

And I have a BOXED copy, and very, very good condition of Zero Tolerance for the Sega Genesis. I have mint game, mint manual (only wrote a little bit (codes) in the Notes section and even that regestration card all mint) and the box in extremely good condition. How much is this all worth? Thanks again guys.

Have you ever heard of a Sega Nomad?

Great work!

What was the cost of all the parts???

YAY, replies, sorry about the odd smiley, I truly am tired :P .

In parts order:

Genesis 2: 12 dollars
Controller: 5 dollars
Screen: 30 bucks (now is 12, but sold out)

That's kinda all, and of course buying wire, a speaker amp chip, and misc. parts (soldering iron, desoldering iron, blah, blah, blah).

I want to write things on why this is a bit superiour to the Sega Nomad (even though I <3 it so much).

A: Battery choics: Runs off basic 4 alkaline AA's, or 5 Ni-Cd/Mh AA's, or for increased battery life, 8 batteries of either kind, with about an hour with everything max, or two with medium settings.

B: Passive Matrix TFT screen. Period. Playing Sonic on the Nomad was a blurry mess, it truly was, and on this Passive screen, I can actually follow my blue hedgehog not some blob.

C: Detachable controller: Well the controller isn't the best, and you can just set the system as a home entertainment console with a built in screen.

D: Can play the Sega CD, and 32X, Nomad just got ownd (I hope my Nomad didn't read that LOL )

E: Easy portable to homeconsole variation.

Thanks guys for the somewhat positive remarks. :)

Well, it's hideous if you ask me, but it's a great, cheap alternative to a Nomad :D

Probably more rewarding to play after all the hard work too.

A buyer?!!!! Astonishing at most! Sorry man, I made this kind of exclusive for a guy whose brother (now in the army) left a load of Genny games for him, and wanted me to soupe up his Genesis, I definetely am gonna make a better one, and another one out of one of those Radica things.

Actually, it wraps quite nicely, thanks to the incline. Well, I'm gonna mod it a bit more, by making the controls a lot more...harder! :)

Yea, erm, Niku-Sama what happend? Well, I'm just popping in and out for aid, and to give advice, I'm either going for the complex NES, or kinda complex PS2 for my next one....must pick.

You just dont get it. Sometimes modding hardware is something you just do. Around here anything that looks a bit to interesting gets disassembled and. possibly modified. Heck Im still looking for a better hard drive for my wearable computer. Thats a bit tough cause of the proprietory hardware. I found one once but they ewanted several grand for the drive... to much for me.

Great Job demonofaj. Sure its a bit ugly but, prototypes usually are.
1-Does it work? Yes
2-Does anyone get hurt in its use? No
3-Did you have to use the heart of an orphan to make it work? No

Jobs a good one!!

Well.....it works I guess. Next job; come up with something a little better looking. You got the basics :D

Have you ever looked at the hacking video game consoles book? He's got some neat stuff in there, not sure if there's a genesis or not.

Nice work, I always appreciate custom jobs.
