That's OBVIOUSLY a joke of somekind. I mean, it's probably his buddy who bid that insane amount, my question is...
E-Bay takes a percentage of the winnings as a acommition so to speak.. so is this joke REALLY worth it?

The bid is a "hot potato" attack. I've seen them before.
A bunch of people find a stupid auction (last time, I saw this it was for eminems house). They decide to make a game of it and keep uping the bid to see who will be stuck with it at close. of course, the winner will back out of the transaction, and the joke is on the seller.
Of course, the seller will then report bidder fraud to Ebay, and the winner is stuck with the hot potato.
