Suddenly all the Sega retro game categories seem to be being systematically spammed with hundreds of 'auctions' advertising a World of Warcraft website that will sell you gold or character levels.

I just got one question - why on earth spam the Sega categories with this crap?!? Aaaargh! Makes it a nightmare trying to browse!

In Ebay Australia, 500 out of the 1000 items in the Master System category are WoW spam!!

Report 'em.

I did with a couple, and they were removed - but they just keep sprouting up with new, seemingly random usernames. It would take hours to go through them all and take down all the usernames, and report them all.

I've emailed ebay to suggest that they apply a filter on the Sega categories that filters out anything with Warcraft in the title, since there aren't any Warcraft games on the Sega consoles as far as I am aware.

Well, I think there might be one on the Saturn. But it's crap and nobody would miss out if it didn't show up for a while, to be honest.

I had a similar problem two weeks ago, when I was trying to sell a Diablo expansion. I tried to search for Hellfire (the item's name) and all I got were items for Diablo - for a paladin character or something. Pissed me off a lot, it did.

You're not alone, Vroom. eBay spammers are a pain in the ass...
