Righty, i've just gone thru my cart collection and there's about half a dozen carts with faulty mask roms. is there a known eprom equiv. so i can burn a eprom off to stick in the carts?
and more importantly, are there *real* dumps of the maskroms floating about the net (not edge connector dumps or backup device dumps) as they won't work..
(i'm not asking for roms, just seeing if they exist somewhere ;) )

If there's just one mask ROM, then they're all the same, as the Genesis generally doesn't use on-cart banking (unless you're talking SSF2). If there are two mask ROMs, usually one is for odd bytes and one is for even bytes, so you can take a .BIN image and split it. If there are four mask ROMs, then two are odds and two are evens, one for the bottom half of the binary and one for the upper half.
As for EPROM equivalents, I'm not sure.
