That says it all really. Oh, and TR = Tomb Raider? The British public wouldn't know a good game if it slapped them in the face, stole their TV and ate all their food.

Magazine's top lists always seem to be dominated with recent releases. Its as if people forget about a game once its a few years old. Either that or a majority of the magazine's subscribers are young teen-agers who never played the classics.

That's funny, Pac-Man, Tetris, and Space Invaders are three 'classics' on the list, so I don't really know what you guys are entirely talking about....

What really puzzles me is how Lulu wound up first on the list of game girls. Are sardonic goth women really that popular over there?

I'd have voted for Bridget from Guilty Gear X2, just to be a smartass.

I thought she was hot, but damn, Duke Nukem was on the list? Oh how detrimental is that?

Before you jump to any conclusions about the general taste of the British gaming public, let's get one thing straight....

The Daily Star... is roughly the equivalent of the National Enquirer. That is to say, about as reliable, and as representative, as judging the general British opinion by swirling tea leaves in cup. Your average Daily Star reader is still in love with the Spice Girls and thinks that a polygon is a dead parrot.

GTAVC being number one is not NEARLY as shocking as Harry Potter being #4. I think that says a lot about the demographics of the survay.

Is it possible to make a list that is not controversial? Let's try!

Here is mine.

Top 2 power sources for games
1. Electric plug
2. Batteries

*shakes head*

No, no, no. You're so wrong.

I use a steam generated turbine to power my games and it's the only way to go. It's gotta be #1.

Hence the joke, which has now been completely spoiled by an explanation. Curse you, ubersaurus! I'll get you next time!
