Ive noticed somthing everytime i hook up an old RF console. Its not the picture its the sound, usally when I either hook up my Super Pong System or my Compuvision i get a static feedback. I dont really care about the Pong system due to it has an internal speaker, but when im using the Compuvision i hear static over the actual simple beep sounds. Is this due to poor RF shielding or may it be somthing else, btw im direct connecting it to my TV via Phono to Coax adapter.

Might be a ground loop, you could try one of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/VIEWSONICS-VSIS-EU-CABLE-TV-GROUND-LOOP-ISOLATOR_W0QQitemZ9729909762QQcategoryZ39803QQrdZ1 QQcmdZViewItem).
Did the trick for me.
