I have an oppurtunity to buy Ogre Battle and the guide below for $60 shipped.

http://www.theretrogamer.net/temp/ogrebattle.jpg

Is it worth it? Is that a good price? The cart does have a couple of label tears and the guide is near mint.

Any help?

Thanks,
Carl

Read that wrong the first time.. thought it was complete...

I think you can get it for less... I was lucky and found Ogre Battle complete at EB (or GameStop.. whichever one is in Millbury, MA!) a year ago or so ago (I think I posted this in the weekly finds thread way back) for $3.99. I went up and they offered me the guide for free. I ended up selling the item on ebay.. it went for $150 or something crazy -- lots of deomestic and foreign bids( someone is Europe ended up winning the item). It seems to be fairly desireable, but for just the cart, which isn't pristine...

You can probably pick one up on ebay for less than $60 if its just the cart and guide..

I'd say yes, considering one went on eBay recently for $40, the cart looked kinda poopy, and the guide was in poor shape.

You could certainly do worse. This isn't the deal of the cetury mind you, but it's close to a fair price I'd say.

I'd have probably gone for it. You'd probably get at least that much on eBay.

I still haven't given him an answer yet. If anyone else is interested in this, lemme know. Maybe I will just pick it up for someone since I cannot seem to make my mind up.

It's a better deal than what's on eBay right now. Only Ogre Battle SNES carts I see are going for nearly the price of what this seller wants total. So yeah, seems a fair price.

It's a great game, easily worth $60
