There is a chainsaw in both FF6 (one of Edward's tools) and FF7 (one of Barret's weapons). There is also a chainsaw weapon in Final Fantasy Legend 2, an instant death weapon with its success rate dependent on your strength -- you will either cut the enemy in half or it will say too hard to cut. Not sure if that weapon makes an appearance in any of the other SaGa games.
