I know of Double Dragon 1 2 and 3 in the arcades, and they've all seen they're share of 'ports' to home systems where sometimes the port is different, pretty different, and completely different from the arcades and then there is that mockary of a Double Dragon game Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls, but I've yet to ever see a Double Dragon 4.
Was there one? say an obscure arcade title that never got ported, or inversely a home version only that was released very limitedly on only one or two consoles?

It was otherwise known as Super Double Dragon and wasn't really anything to talk about.

I love Super Double Dragon even though the end is really not much to talk about. I think it's a fun game. Blocking the guy's moves is always funny to see.

Ah, but see, Super Double Dragon was an unfinished game.

There's a lot of story behind that little game. It's a very interesting read.

Nintendo Power, the leading Nintendo magazine, didn't even cover this game either.
Is this really true? Very wierd atleast. I remember reading about it in the official Nintendo magazine that was released here (not Nintendo Power).
I like the game. Cool moves and weapons. Also cool with 2 players :)

Super Double Dragon is one of the best beat-em-ups ever made. The range of moves and techniques is unmatched for a straigh BEU. Play the Japanese version though which is a far better game.

I have fond memories of playing this early on Sunday mornings after sleeping over at my friends' place in Sacramento back in good ole 1992. Ahhhh God, what great memories... *sniff/sigh*
The characters were on the small side, and I thought the gameplay was a TOUCH on the slow side, but I really enjoyed it otherwise. Great music and sound effects. I loved the "big guys" too... one I called Andrew, the other I called Sneider, lol, don't ask why. Andrew was the one with taped fists. Sneider was the big guy in the coat... I mean c'mon they look like an Andrew and a Sneider! :P

Super Double Dragon was great, I can remember being amazed at the variety of stunts you could pull of in it. And playing it with a buddy couldn't be beat. How I miss good old two player co-op games.
I used to be fantastic at it, but I loaded it up a few days ago and found out that all my skillz went straight down the crapper. My young me would be embarressed. :(

It is all kinds of awesome the music is also one of the best music scores on the snes next to dkc2 imho, best played really loud.
And it is in my top brawlers right up their with Golden Axe Arcade, Crime Fighters 2 and Bare Knuckle 3.
