That PSP case looks exactly like my wife's wallet/mini purse... thing. Hard to be masculine toting around the same purse as your wife. Even if it does have a PSP inside.

Also, WHY do I need a remote for my HANDHELD device? Its not like the PSP screen is so large I'm going to watch UMDs from my couch, 15 feet away.

aww cmon guys, its a little expensive but the stuff looks tons better then 3rd party stuff they make for sony products (reguarding the psp accesories)

i guess sony's making quite a name for the playstation brand with a 600 dollar console, 250 dollar handheld, and 300 dollar notebook case

Why not say "I can't believe that, who would spend that much money on something like that", which is a more mature response as opposed to "OMG shit in box = $ony" or whatever you posted up there. That said, back to topic.

I gave the items a quick once-over. The only thing that caught my eye was the watch. Too bland-looking and expensive for my tastes, but I could see some folks dropping serious cash on that stuff. I really don't see the point in the stuff, but I guess that's why I'm not in marketing.

You just know that if Nintendo made stuff like this it would be gobbled up lickety-split. I'm sure I'd get in on it if that was the case. I think their goods would offer more of a 'videogaming' look and feel than those sterile PSP accessories.

Are you kidding me? Since when is noting that Sony has just announced products that are a line full of random crap with a logo thrown on it and overpriced to hell unnecessary drivel?

And of course I favor Nintendo. Duh. But you're talking about people following my posts here...I don't think I've ever once bashed the Xbox. In fact, I own as many Xbox games as I do GameCube games. Maybe you should practice what you preach.

As for the PS2, it's an unnecessary console prone to breaking, with less features and power than the competition. The only thing that is good about it is the third-party software. Maybe I'm just bitter because Sony's awful quality products are the only ones I've had trouble with. My PS1 randomly stops reading memory cards. My PS2 is filled with disc read errors.

But as for the topic at hand, I would be bashing Nintendo as much as I am Sony if they did something like this. $115 for some generic headphones with a PlayStation logo on it? $650 for a cheap-looking watch?! $133 shirts, $300 PSP cases, fucking wine glasses? This is absolutely retarded. It would be just as retarded if Nintendo slapped Mario or their logo on this crap and tried to pass it off as some stylish line. Although, admittedly, it would be slightly cooler to have Mario instead of a couple of shapes in the form of a square.
