View Full Version : What Bond film Next should be made into a Game?

Since we have From Russia With love now, all with Sean Connery voicing bond, I thought it would be cool if they started making more games based on the older films.
Wouln't it be cool to play a game based on one of your fave bond films? I'd think that The Living Daylights or On Her Majesty's secret Service would be really cool. Though It might not translate well, OHMSS is in my top 5 fave Bond films.
Also, what would you want for levels in the game? Liscense to Kill's finale would make one helluva stage. :D
Going back to the first thought, Also, Which do you think lend themselves better to being translated? Moonraker would, though most pan that movie (why?? )
Got any Ideas?

To be honest, A remake of Goldeneye with online multiplayer and a total graphics facelift would be a dream.

As long as we are spared a game for "View to a Kill" i'm ok.
I can't really list my favorite Bond movie as "From Russia with Love" *IS* my favorite.
I'd say possibly "Dr. No" or "You only Live Twice".
But good luck getting Connery back.

Goldfinger has to probably be the most classic Bond movie, and I'd kind of like to see a game out of it. Thunderball might perhaps make a more interesting game, though.

Casino Royale, the David Niven (RIP) one obviously =P

I'm looking forward to the new Casino Royale, actually, though I'm afraid they'll mess it up.
Yes, an updated Goldeneye would be great. Would like more freedom/pathways through levels, though.

I agree. Goldeneye is what started my FPS addiction in the first place. A graphics upgrade and an online multiplayer mode? Instant win right there.
I remember hearing somewhere that a group of guys were putting together a 'Goldeneye Source.' The game was just going to be a port using the source engine. It looked reallly promising.

My vote goes to Moonraker.
I always liked Roger Moore as Bond.

Yeah, even though Moore isn't my favorite, I think that Moonraker deserves a great game to do it justice. So simplistic and action packed, yet you can't deny that it's bond.
Other films like The Living Daylights have that same feel and should be more compatible to game translations.

The Living Daylights was a C64 game. I kinda liked it, actually.

Oh yes, another vote for Moonraker. So ridiculous it could hardly be done any other way. Except that it would be so easy to turn it into a lazy mishmash of flash minigames.
What was that one Bond movie that ended with him playing that crazy videogame for control of the world?

I think that was Never Say Never Again. The only unofficial (according to Ian Flemming) Bond movie. That part would make a great mini game - but it was a game of who could tolerate the most pain... Too bad they don't make controllers that give you a little 'zap', and sense when you let them go... :D
Moonraker ended with 007 getting it on with the girl, on the space shuttle, in zero-g. Q interupts them, of course, and it ends (It's been a while since I've seen it, there may be more.)

Yup that game is not part of the "official canon" of Bond Films because the chronology just doesn't fit. But yeah I remember that video game where there was a sting on the controller when a player lost a round

I remember watching the "Bond Girls" bonus DVD and the woman who was in "Moonraker" seemed to really hate that movie.
Although most of the other Bond girls tend to look back quite fondly on thier time as Bond's love interest.
Never Say Never Again = Thunderball remake.

All the Roger Moore films are full of action, so any of them would make great games. I hope now that Activision have the license they will make something innovative, rather than the EA approach of trying to copy Rares goldeneye, but completely failing every time.

Yep, only worse.

Yeah, wasn't really impressed and kinda irked me.
On the Idea of Moore films, how about A View to A Kill? If they could ge Christopher Walken to help out with voice work, that'd kick so much ass!
