Any info appreciated - is a standard 2600 supply OK?

The 9 volt part is correct, but the Telstar needs a smaller pin than the Atari has. They sell the correct tips at Radioshack, I can't remember if it's tip "e" or "f", anyhow it looks like the 2600 tip, but *smaller*.
One of my little Telstars is in my Avatar, just above the NES 1 unit.
