My cat is okay! He just got back from the Vet!Thank you all!

my mother was using this new flea shampoo while giving him a bath...and he had a reaction that caused him to go into seizure...he started growling and hissing at me...he never hisses or growls at all...

We took him to the Vet, and he's been poisoned by the shampoo product, contains a pesticide...

If you have any pets, dog or cat, do NOT buy "HARTZ" brand products...for the love of god...please don't

It cost my family over $250 to hospitalize him over night.... :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: and that's just half the payment...I dunno how much it will be in total..

So, right now, nothing really matters except his life, so I'm selling my PS2 and such to help pay for that medicial bill.

We used to give my dog (when he was a pup) baths with Hartz shampoo. Never had any problems, but that was over five years ago. They must have screwed up pretty bad to include pesticides in it. I feel for you. I know I'd sell all my games if it came down to paying for my buddy's vet bills.

sorry to hear that. i know what it feels like to have a cat in the hospital. mom used to give my cat mini plain donuts. ( no chcolate or anything) but had little stones from them. very unpleasent togo through. Many people on the board are good people and i know they will come through . it ended costing 635$ for the bill in all with surgry and over night care. now when ever mom has a donut the cat just growls and nips at her. not sure if he remembers the pain or just pissed cause he cant have a donut.

To be honest, we spoke with the Vet about this. She told us, that many people have tried to sue Hartz, and claim they do not care if your pet dies. She said, it was the 7th case this month that evolved "Hartz" products..

So it's pretty much a dead-end situation, since that pretty much tells me "Take a number and wait in line like everyone else" and we're stuck with the bill :(

Get a lawyer. If the doctor says that it was the shampoo that did it, your lawyer will sue them. They can't do that and get away with it.

He's back and the medicial bill has been paid for, wasn't that much more...was another $56...so it was $306 in total pretty much. My parents were cool enough to pay for half of that...and I already got to cover the other half, thanks to odyeiop and kentuckyfried :)

we use dawn dishwashing liquid on our dog makes a lot of suds but it really kills the fleas
