i need some HELP .. k k . i got a sega cd off a friend.. it was the gen 2 with a gen 2 system .. it came with nothin no cables anything .. i have a gen 1 unit and i tried hooking it up to sega cd and it wont turn on. I have BOTH power cables pluged in . lol.. cause i had to get a second gen 1 power cable... and it wouldnt turn on .. i tried changing the fuse on it and still nothing .. any ideas .. might it be totaly finished and just be a dust collector

However I see this allot. Use a voltage meter and verify that the power coming off the power block is exactly what its suposed to be.

Keep in mind I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I swear I've tried hooking up my mod 2 cd with mod 1 power cords and the thing didn't work, but it did with the mod 2 cord. (This happened the last time I had it hooked up, which was about a year ago, so I don't remember clearly). Anyway, maybe getting the right power cord would help?
