It's a nice idea, but what about SegaSonic the Hedgehog, Sonic The Fighters, Sonic CD, Knuckles Chaotix, and the other games that haven't been re-released and re-ported several times already?

The answer, of course, is that Sega's probably just messing with emulation again to make a quick buck. (That's probably not the Saturn version of Sonic 3D Blast in there.)

It all depends on the price. If they charge $40 or so for something it probably took them no time at all to lump toghether then they can whistle for it. I wouldn't pay more than $20, and even thats a bit much.

Yes I care, no I probably won't buy it. I care because it's another case of classic games being kept alive for a new generation of hardware, and if it sells it'll probably bring more of the same. I won't buy it because I'm not a big Sonic nut, but I might be interested in the "more of the same" that comes along as a result.

yet more cashing in on emulation.. It's all old news.. I have the original games and a little sonic game called 'Sonic Jam' on the Saturn that does basically the same thing..

HELLO!! Whats with every single next gen compilation of Sonic not having the one game that many people never got to see, let alone play.. Sonic CD..

No one cares about sonic 1-3.. Hell If you didn't finish them when you were a kid you gave it a good shot at your house or someone elses. The very first Genesis game I emulated was Sonic 1 on a P-133 with 16 meg of ram.. that was YEARS ago when even MAME Galaga wouldn't run full speed on my computer.

I wouldn't pay more then 5 bucks for this new..

I'd be FAR more interested in a collection that featured the following:

Sonic Drift 1
Sonic Drift 2
Knuckles Chaotix
Sonic Triple Trouble
Sonic CD
Sonic R
Sonic Crackers
The Sonic Fighting game

Why does Sega always rerelease the same games over and over? It makes no sense! I'd much rather see the Sonic Drift games on a home system :)

Sure it's good but Sega's trying to scor ea quick buck with those players who don't know about emulation and playing these game for free...

What Sega SHOULD do considering this is relase a smash pack or 2 of the games on their less-steller systems that fewer people HAVE played, like Sonic CD, the 32x titles and Saturn titles.

I agree with pretty much everyone else here. Gimme Sonic CD, or give me death.

I'll probably buy it once it reaches $19.99, assuming the emulation is good and it lets me save anywhere.
