So, anyone get this?
I picked it up today and already played through it. I knew it would be short because it is just an episode installment, and it was only $20, but I didn't expect it to be as short as it was. I got through it in about 3 hours max. It was pretty fun, but kind of a let-down. Not a lot happens. Oh well, I'll be waiting for ep. 2.
Only 3 hours! :(
I was planning to get this today, but maybe now I will wait until it’s $10.

If you have HL2, you've already got the online part. They give you HL2: Deathmatch and HL Deathmatch Source. I guess thats for the people who are just buying the episode and dont already have the game. Although I have no idea why anyone would do that.

I am going to pick this up sooner rather than later. I just loved Half-Life 2, and more of the same sounds good to me!

I've heard HDR lighting was added to it, anyone try that out?

I bought it a week ago and quite enjoyed the way Valve has upped the beauty of the game
HDR really gives the game a great new look
Altough I felt they pushed the comedy alittle to far in it

I beat it a few days ago, it was pretty cool. I spent about 5 hours on it, only because I love stare at the scenary. There really wasnt anything new which I did'nt like, but it's Half-Life and still the best damn FPS out there.

Yeah, congratulations on not being funny. The original thread was somewhat entertaining, but spamming a link to it is just really bad trolling. Kinda hope you get banned.
As for the game, I had no idea it was already out. I'll be sure to check it out as soon as I build my new PC, circa 2007. Fucking Vista :( No way I'm wasting money on DX9 cards now with the impending DX10 around the corner.

I'd rather buy a new high-end XP machine, the way vista is being delayed and delayed and more problems are being announced. I dont know if I'm going to keep gaming on my PC once Vista hits, I really dont like a lot of things being announced about it. Oh, but you can play Halo 2!
And hell, you can get a decent card for $100-150 just to hold you over until you want to go all the way. I'm using a cheap card at the moment because my old one fried and I dont think I'll be able to get a gaming rig like I used to anytime in the next 4 years. Hell, I'm running on a 1.8 P4.

The hype around this game as inspired me to give the first game another play through, I'll pick up Ep.1 when I'm done with it.

I'm going to wait until HL2 and all of these episodes are bundled together.
I refuse to pay $50 for a two year old game, and $20 for three more hours of gameplay. :/

The Half-Life 2 Game of The Year Edition is actually $20 most places and it includes HL2, HL2 Deathmatch, Half-Life Source and Counter-Strike Source.

WHERE? Because the only stores that have it locally are Wal-Mart and Gamestop, and they want $50 for it!

Bestbuy has it listed as $24.99 on their website and Circuit City has it listed as $29.99 on their website, I imagine these prices are the same in store.

Too bad I have to travel like 100 miles to even get NEAR one of those stores.
Meh, maybe I'll try to pick it up when I go to Tennessee in a month.
