View Full Version : Filed 3 credit card chargebacks against paypal

About 2 months ago I filed 'item not received' on 3 games (out of 100) that never arrived. Paypal rewarded me but was "unable to recover money" since the sellers emptied the account. (scam artists? take the money and run?)
I called paypal & asked if it's okay with them if I file a chargeback with my creidt card. They said okay. "You sure you won't suspend my account?" They said they won't & filing with the credit card is the proper procedure.
So filed 3 credit card disputes to recover my $50.
Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Why didn't you add this to your old thread rather than creating yet another ebay/paypal bitch thread for us all to "enjoy"?

Completely different topic (non-payer vs. scamming sellers) (ebay vs. paypal). I thought people who are curious about chargebacks & paypal might want to know how it works out. That's all.
Look.
No one's forcing you to click on this message. Are they? NO. So quit clicking my messages if you hate me so much.
Same goes for you religious bible-thumpers who complain about nudity on television. If you don't like it? Click the "off" button.
Stop trying to tell other people what they can or can not do. Nobody elected you "morality police" so shut up. I can decide for myself what I want to Say or Watch or Do. [edit-- The only people on this forum who should be telling other people (like me) what to do -or not do- are Mayhem, Kid Ice, Darth Vader, or Berserker. i.e. Not you.]

Even so, it's common courtesy to combine the threads - adding these comments at the end of the old thread as a new reply, then editing the title, would've been easier and things would've made sense.
I'm NOT telling you what to do, it's not my place to do so - I'm merely telling you, it would've been more... well, polite.

Please don't take this as an insult, I'm just trying to be honest and help you.
I think most people, me included, are annoyed (to varying degrees) with your posting habits. Just looking at the front page, seven topics are yours. The fact you have seven topics isn't the problem, it bothers people that most have to do with your ebay problems. This is an exaggeration, but your "just charge it back" attitude in regards to ebay/paypal problems doesn't help either.

What's the proper attitude?

It's almost like a soap opera where you think that everyone cares about how Kevin's adventures on eBayland goes from day to day.
There's a place for semi-regular posts like your's Kevin, it's called a diary or a blog.

It is perfectly acceptable to do in many cases, but it seems like you are either doing it or suggesting it to someone else very often.
I have bought and sold a lot through ebay and I have yet to file or experience a chargeback. Even though you can't always avoid them, there is something to be said for the fact you can greatly reduce your risks by playing it safe or working out the problem.

I tried contacting the sellers to "work out the problem" but never got an answer. Filed with paypal & their accounts were empty. The credit card was my last resort.

Just combine threads, or keep your most recent (or other) ebay bitch rant in your watch list. Then when there's an update to your situations, find your post in your watch list, and add to it!
And for your paypal charges, give it time, took paypal a few eeeks to get my money back from my issue a couple months ago.

Paypal opened 3 claims in the dispute console & sent out emails to the Sellers. What's the deal? They expect the sellers to forward proof of delivery? I guess so.

If I'm having a shitty day I can always find something in this forum that makes me chuckle, and for that, I am forever grateful. Thank you Kevin!!!

Sorry kevin psx, you have already exceeded your lifetime limit on ebay/paypal complaints. Feel free to take Mr. Griking's advice to create a diary or blog to chronicle all the ebay/paypal issues that are obviously everyone's fault but your own.
