Anyone have a list of Psp games that force firmware updates?

I am looking for a list of psp games that were released without the forced firware updates or one that gives you a choice to do it or not and still lets you play.

Does Nba street showdown force the firmware update?

Are there any such thing as a forced update. Ex. you stick a psp disc in and it updates your psp without telling you?
I am under the impression that all updates ask you first.

No. All games that require a firmware update to play will always ask you first before installing and updating. You can still play newer games on a 1.5 though without updating by using homebrew apps like RunUMD.

Field Commander forces an update... to 2.6!

most of the games youre listing were the early release ones, a couple of the 2.5 ones were playable through tricking the system on 1.5's and 2.0's.

the 2.6 ones, however, required an actual update in order to play em. these started about the time megaman powered up came out.

and, no, like norkusa sed, the updates will never auto-update for you. there will always be an option asking if you wanna do it or not first.

Gradius Collection forces update to 2.6

I had been running 2.01 as that is what it came with. Only had 3 games (Luminies, Legend of Heros and Popolocrois). Just got me Gradius Collection and it told me I need to update and then I proceeded to do it.
