I hate the placement of the Black and White buttons on the Xbox's Controller S (and the less said about the original, the better). However, I really like the 360 controller. So, especially since the corded 360 controllers use USB, I was wondering: is it possible to use a 360 controller on the original Xbox?

I'm thinking it's possible.

Here are some possibilities:

1: Make up a xbox 360 to Xbox cable (Reccomended)

2: Mod the cable so it goes to xbox. (Not reccomended)

1. Buy a wired controller.

2. By the USB-female break-a-way connector for some online mod store.

try it out :D

I'm guessing, due to its name, that the "Play and charge kit" for the wireless controller allows you to use the controller with the usb? Cause if so I was planning on picking one of these up anyway and I'll give it a try with my usb->xbox adapter.

Wait a minute. If they make a USB to XBox adapter, then wouldn't you be able to just plug a wired 360 controller into this deal and then on to the XBox?

What is a USB --> XBox adapter usually used for? What other USB devices would you want to plug into an XBox?

Won't work, the xbox won't recognize the 360 controller as a valid device.
