What's up with the Metal Slug series in the U.S.?
PS2= 4 & 5
Xbox= 3
GBA= Metal Slug advance
I thought there were going to be more for the PS2 and GBA? 1/2/X or something?
Have they been drop'd from the line-ups?

Metal Slug 4 and 5 were released on the Xbox too.
As for the GBA games, I'm pretty sure they're still in the works.

Also, Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP. That's 1, 2, X, 3, 4 and 5 all with multiplayer support.
I really have no desire to get a PSP, but...DA-YUMN!

I know MS X was released for the PS1, so that was released in the US, but other than that I'm hoping for a complete collection on one disc as well. Hell I might even buy a PSP for it!

Planned releases include all of them for the Nintendo Wii though i'm not sure if it'll be a DL thing or a purchased game. And aparently all of them for the PSP. They are working on a Slug 6 (which is getting close to completion) and a Slug 3D, but the 3D one i've only seen a few screen shots so far.
More for the PS2 were released.... just in Japan and Europe. SCEA does not love the 2D, and thusly don't like releasing 2D games in America. We were lucky that we got 4/5 on the PS2 at all.

Wii will be getting the first 5 or 6 of the matal slug games.
What had been happening is snk has been selling metal slug games not in a collecting for the ps 2 outside of the 2 mentioned and didn't make it to the states because of sony. This is according to snk.

Metal Slug 6 now has a release date for the PS2, JPN only for now of corse (and most likely forever...). Sometime in July, as pre-orders have opened up on both Play-Asia and YesAsia. Also, Metal Slug 3 was released on the PS2, but it's JPN only. Take a care as to guess why? Same reason half the SNK 2D fighter ports stay in Japan only on the PS2...

Run and guns [variants of shump] haven't really been released on a wide scale outside of Japan since the 16B eras. Sad huh?

I hear that :/ Got MS X for PS1 and I love that game!
I will pick up Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP and get a PSP down the road when it's cheap at a pawn shop :evil:

other than NEO GEO, i guess you are including the NGPC. i think both Slugs for that system saw us release
6 is out in arcades now. SNKs deal with Sega forces them to wait a certain amount of time before releasing an arcade game on console
I heard Metal Slug 3d was canned.
Wouldn't suprise me as I heard nothing about the project for like a year.

EDIT: Actually just learned it is coming out this month. I hadn't tracked anything on the game since I saw it's innitial screenshots. The 3D MS game is set to release in Japan on June 29th.

Well yeah.... since it was a propietary system and thusly a Neo Geo (all be it a NGPC). Its not like they didn't make the system.
