Very cool indeed, too bad I don't play Monoploy anymore.

That's actually really cool. I play Monopoly once every, like, 2 months, so it would be cool to pull this version out.

Its cool but I hate how they don't really try to make it have to do with Nintendo or any of the other ones they put out. I mean come on what does free parking or jail have to do with Nintendo. I bought an NHL one and even there they kept jail when it would have been simple and made perfect sense to have a penalty box.

That looks cool. I like the detail in the pieces.

As a Monopoly fan and retrogamer, i have to say: WOW!, a "classic NES" Monopoly version will be great too. Anyone knows the price of this game?.

Expect to find it in stores in July for an suggested retail price of $35.95. That's like one DS game, right?

Kinda pricey if you ask me, but I still may pick it up.

That's pretty dumb. Characters for the proporties? They could have done so much better than that :/

Cheap cash in, except it isn't cheap...

A regular copy of Monopoly costs $10-12 most places, and this adds nothing to an already painful experience except a few shiny bits.

I think that's my way of saying "I'll pass, but thanks for the heads up." There are better games than Monopoly that I'd rather play :)

There are enough locations in Nintendo games that it could have easily been done. And having characters as pieces would have been really fun.

Let's say we are using just the following series: Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Starfox, Kirby, Pokemon and F-Zero.

Mediterranean Avenue - Mt. DeDeDe
Baltic Avenue - Whispy Woods

Oriental Avenue - Orre
Vermont Avenue - Johto
Connecticut Avenue - Kanto

St. Charles Place - Port Town
States Avenue - Mute City
Virginia Avenue - Big Blue

St. James Place - Fortuna
Tennessee Avenue - Venom
New York Avenue - Corneria

Kentucky Avenue - Crocodile Isle
Indiana Avenue - Cranky's Cabin
Illinois Avenue - DK Hut

Atlantic Avenue - Maridia
Ventnor Avenue - Norfair
Marvin Gardins - Brinstar

Pacific Avenue - Kokiri Forest
North Carolina - Ganon's Castle
Pennsylvania Avenue - Hyrule Castle

Park Place - Bowser's Castle
Boardwalk - Princess Peach's Castle

Electric Company - Pikachu
Water Works - Squirtle

Reading Railroad - Mario Circuit
Pennsylvania Railroad - Luigi Circuit
B&O Railroad - YoshiCircuit
Short Line - Peach Circuit

These would still stay the same, just different art.
Community Chest
Chance
Income Tax
Luxury Tax
Free Parking
Go to Jail
Jail

Simple example, and not to much thought into it. =) If it had been sat down on and discussed, they could have easily figured out a ton of things. Probably could have even started a forum for suggestions on what to call places.

Oh well, that's my 2 cents.

this is something that would be ok to get as a gift, but i cant see spending my own money on it or ever actually playing it.

It's one of the requirements that Hasbro made USAopoly follow for their theme sets. The four corners have to be the same as the original set.

I'm curious about the Here & Now edition that Hasbro is releasing in the Fall. Their website advertises it as "America's favorite game as if it were invented TODAY!". I wonder if the four corners will be changed for the new edition.
