Man they made a ton of strategy games that would last a lifetime or two.
-Gemfire
-Aerobiz
-PTO
-Nobunaga's Ambition
-Uncharted Waters
-New Horizons
-Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV
etc.
Also, my question is, what were their top 3 SNES (or GEN) games in your mind, and is it worth getting the prequels if I already own Uncharted Waters 2 (New Horizons) and RotTK IV?
Is it worth going back, or are these games the top in their series and render getting the prequels pretty much useless?

I was always partial to Gemfire. It was pretty dumbed-down compared to a lot of their games, but still lots of fun.

Genghis Khan 2: Clan of the Grey Wolf was one of my favorite SNES games. The fact that you could play multiplayer, control battles, and have children was tons of fun. Especially the multiplayer part...

Gemfire is one of my favorite games of all time. I know it isn't the most complicated games, but I've played it many, many times, I know everything about the game like the back of my hand.
I've also played both Aerobizes plenty.

I always loved Gemfire too. Nothing like being notified that the Pastha has offered to help the people of your province!

I loved Aerobiz and PTO. One of these days I'll have to finally play New Horizons.

Pookninja, I always thought I was the only one! I love, love, LOVE the Aerobiz series. The strategy, the little new route graphics, the music, it is a FANTASTIC game.
Also, if you like Aerobiz and enjoy board games, let me reccomend an old Avalon Hill game called Air Baron. Might be kinda hard to find because I think it is out of print, but a very fun game - kind of a mix between Monopoly and Risk.

Aerobiz and Aerobiz Supersonic are 2 of my favourite games of all time. Even to this day i will break them out and play a game every year or so.
Gemfire, Uncharted Waters, and New Horizons are also quite playable. (Le Emperor is also a good one, albeit only 8-Bit for the console, a PC version exists)

PTO 2 is the greatest strategy game ever devised by man. Even nowadays I can go back to it and play it religiously for hours on end, for weeks.
Steep learning curve, but oh so rewarding.

Aerobiz, is one my favorite SNES games. I want to play Supersonic but haven't got a copy yet.
I've got probably a 1/4 or 1/3 of all of there SNES games, but Aerobiz is the only one I've really played. Sometime when I'm bored I suppose I should bring 'em out and try to figure out how to play them.

Inindo rocks, as does New Horizones.
I'm not a hardcore strategy fan though, I can't get into anything later then Genghis Khan for nes (which I love for some reason).
