Something like 160,000. I suck! I don't play it enough to improve. And I don't play it enough because I suck.
Did I mention I suck?
I'm pleased I got the game, though. If only to put into perspective how awesome the guys who are getting 2 to 3 million points are.

1,070,000+
Oddly enough, I've gotten to 1 million a couple of different times, but I get excited and lose focus, and die. I gotta just ignore the score and play like its not there.
I haven't really played GW seriously for several months until this last week. I decided to give it a whirl again, but my scores were around 500,000 or so. I need to practice some more and get up to speed.
I see now that the #1 score is over 100 million. @_@ There was a time when only a dozen or so people even had a million points.
I'd still like to get the last two achievements I need... the 10x multiplier and the survive 1 million. Don't know if I can ever get that last one, but I'm assuming I can get the 10x at the same time, so I'm just trying to survive as long as possible everytime I start a game.

Just a hair over 400,000. I've started to play it again, I really want the 1 million point achievements.

764 thousand and some change I haven't played it much lately. :hmm:

1.9 million. The game gets kind of boring though, especially once you have 9 lives, 9 bombs and a big multiplier. Games start to take (once you get over a million) about 20 minutes, and it just drags on and on.
I still need to get the survive a million achievement. That could be a problem. :/

Anyone got any tips? I've watched some videos of top players creaming this game, and while I tried to take a lot of it onboard, I don't think I have.
Words of wisdom for a pretty rubbish player? I can trade you some top tips for Rockstar's Table Tennis in return. I own at that :)

my gamertag is mailman187666. I just recently got a high score of 1,230,000+. That game is definately hard and I have no idea how these guys can get over 100 mil in one game. They must play it an awful lot

I know this is going to sound cliche...
...but practice. A lot. Just play the game, and one game, you'll go nuts. Say you average 200k, and all of a sudden you bust a 400k game. The difference in difficulty between the two is staggering. Once you've seen what 400k brings, 200k will seem like cake. You'll continue to progress like this.
Try not to use bombs in every situation. Try not to hug the edges too much, as enemies spawn there. Hug a little bit off the edge (so you can destroy any enemies that like to spawn there), and go around in a circle. If things get hairy in front of you, cut across the middle -- never cut back along the path you just cleared.
Never stop. This should be fairly obvious, but the minute you stop or slow down, some little fella is gonna come up behind you.
The black holes (that suck the enemies in) are your friends. One thing I do is activate one, allow a bunch of guys to flow into it, and then let it burst. Then, as they're chasing me, I activate another, and they all get sucked into that. It's way easier to pick off enemies that way.
The biggest piece of advice I can give is: worry about what's in front of you. Rarely is there ever a need to shoot behind you. Clear out the front; if that's not possible, do a cut across the middle, and then continue the circle pattern. Oftentimes you can get enemies to bunch behind you, and you can flank them as you roll around in a circle. Cut a swath through them if they manage to get in front of you; never cut a swath in your wake, as that is purely useless, and more enemies will fill it in anyways.

I think I speak for everyone when I say... "We believe you :)".

Cheers for that advice, unwind. Some of it I already knew - but wasn't executing too well - but some of it I didn't. It actually took me an awful long time to realise that the black holes were something I didn't want to be blowing up. Man, I can be so dumb!
I really have to learn to stop relying on the bombs, as well. Sometimes, I just panic and let one off. It is an easy way out, but they only buy me a few seconds.

My best score is about 225,000, but I've only owned a 360 for about 5 days so I hope to improve. In the last game I played, I lived on one life to 195,000 points, and then my remaining lives lasted less than 30 seconds each. I can't possibly see how anybody can score a million, let alone on one life.
Has anyone actually unlocked the 'survived 1,000,000' achievement? :)

I have about 686,000 on it. For some reason I'm good at all dual analog shooters APART from Geo Wars.
I'm top 100 on Smash TV, top 30 on Robotron etc etc, but I suck horribly at GW. Maybe its because of the true analog firing instead of 8 directions?
One day I hope to at least get survive 500,000 on it, and if I fluke it I may reach the magic million.
