View Full Version : Microsoft is amazing!!
My 360 had a small hiccup in it and it's warranty was soon to expire. I decided to send it back while I still could so that I could get a new replacement console.
Purolator picked it up at my house on Thursday morning. It's now Monday morning and I just received a brand new console at my front door. Service doesn't get any faster than that. Hats off to Microsoft for their quick attention. :D Too often we hear about the bad on forums, but seldom hear about the good.
Even if it hiccups past warrenty, their customer service is awsome now, they didn't even ask me for my receipt, just my console code, they just want to make people happy, I grabbed the 2 year since it's only 50$, nice to know I'm well taken care of!

Because their entire company structure depends on making their customers happy, despite numerous complaints about all other departments of operation.
Good job Microsoft. Glad to hear things went so smoothly for the original poster.

They may have great support for the 360, but everything else is shit. I'm trying to get a replacement power supply for my Xbox Wireless G Adapter. After 2 hours on the phone with customer support this weekend, all I got out of it was "We can't help you in this department even though your product is still under warranty. Try going to a game store and buying a replacement adapter there". Seriously. x_x
I was surprised at the fast turnaround. I was expecting to be playing my Dreamcast for at least the next 4-6 weeks.
Is it true that in the USA they repair your console instead of giving you a new one?

No.
This is what happens.
Your return gets injected into the "fix it" pile.
You get one that has been fixed.
I perfer this, since its a tech going over it with his own eyes and hands instead of the factory, I myself got a free HD from them, I called and asked if I can return it, but they jsut said to keep it.
So I sold it for 80$ shipped. Thanks Microsoft! 8-)

Yeah, they seem to be pretty good about stuff like that. I finally got the replacement power supply issue solved for my Xbox Wireless G Adapter. After getting transfered to no less than 6 different departments and 2+ hours on the phone, I finally was talking to someone that could take care of me and are sending out an *entirely new* Wireless G Adapter kit at no charge. Not bad since I got the power supplyless one from Goodwill for only $2. :P
Companies really need to stop outsourcing their customer support to other countries though. It's really pissing their customers off.

Heh, the benefits far, far outweigh the marginal customer dissatisfaction. It'll never come back stateside unless it gets to be just as cheap to do here as over in India or wherever. Read: Never.
