Anyone try to mod a NA cube to play Euro games? Is there a Hz issue with PAL software?

Confirmation one way or the other would be great!

Can't you just use a freeloader?

Rolling screen. I'm wondering if the screen will roll with a switch mod too. I think it will...

Doesn't the switch mod only allow selecting between for USA/JAP regions, or has someone discovered how to do PAL as well? At least back when I got my modchip this wasn't the case.

Exactly what I'm wondering as well. I've got a nice UK lady here with a UK NGC collection she brought with her. She'd like to be able to play them here.

She may be out of luck.

Hmm. Well you'd have to find a Pal->NTSC convertor. But, maybe you could use the component cables and do HD? Obviously if you don't have cables or tv this is out of the question, but HD signals are the same the world around.

the freeloader should work fine if the TV supports a pal signal. Otherwise, the european games that don't support PAL 50 will just have the screen rolling.

No mod or adjustment will fix that. In order to play a pal game, you need a pal compatable TV.

GCOS has PAL/NTSC force options when you boot a game.
