Will the SNES Justifier work as a light gun for the 3DO?

Of course, I mean when it's hooked up to the SNES to 3DO controller adapter. Has anybody tried to use a SNES Konami Justifier with the SNES to 3DO controller adapter and a game like Mad Dog McCree or something like that?


Getting a real 3DO lightgun is next to impossible, so I'm wondering if a SNES one would work with the SNES to 3DO adapter?


Anybody actually have both the SNES Justifier and a SNES/3DO controller adapter? Could you please try this combo with a 3DO light gun game?

I have all 3 of the items you mentioned. A blue Konami Justifier won't work on a 3DO ALG game using that adaptor. You MUST have an ALG gun (the orange one). At one time I had about 3 Sega CD ALG guns (they are identical to the 3DO one except the pin-out is different). At that time Sega CD ALG guns were a lot cheaper than 3DO ones (although about as HTF). I considered trying to convert a SCD gun to a 3DO one (I'm sure it can be done fairly easy; the guts ARE the same) but never got around to it, and later got my hands on a 3DO one.

Damn, ain't that a bitch. Though I found a cheap way to get my hands on a gun that will work with the 3DO. I guess I'll turn to Dojosky and see if he'll let me borrow one of his. he he.

Just keep your eyes out here or on the bay for a ALG gun in the Genesis section. Most people are familiar with the Justifier; but few even know what the orange guns are for when they get them. I had 3 at one time and I really don't think I ever paid more than $5 for any one of them. Like I said.. if you'r electronically inclined I'm sure a conversion would be fairly simple.. and cheap to do.

Of course.. you CAN just get the SCD ALG gun and play ALL of the ALG games on a Sega CD as well.. but the Sega CD versions look terrible compared to 3DO. 3DO was excellent at playing FMV.
