So the 360 is now on it's second wave of games. Which means some games will probably get their illustrious "Greatest Hits" covers sometime soon.

What games do you see making the 360's first batch of GH games?

I predict
-PGR 3
-Kameo
-Call of Duty 2
-G.R.A.W
and possibly -DOA 4

that is at the very least...

I see Oblivion and Rockstar Table Tennis following not too far behind. Table Tennis didn't get the greatest critical acclaim, but word of mouth sure spread like wildfire.

I can see Perfect Dark Zero getting to the greatest hits level. I dispise the game myself, but alot of folks love it.

All 3 MS launch titles for sure. I also expect GRAW and Oblivion. But the last 2 won't be for awhile.

I can see some of them like Gun going down to Greatest Hits pricing....but without any special Greatest Hits packaging.

Tony Hawk is another that we'll see in the official Hits packaging. Maybe Full Auto too. I wonder about Condemned? Anyhow....it's about time for more software price drops for those of us that have had 360s for some time....and as an incentive for those who are considering buying one.

I think it's still too early for a "greatest hits" or whatever.

Having said that, it's about time for a few 360 launch games to hit $19.99 status. Like.....

Gun
Fifa 2006
NBA Live 06
NHL 2K6
NBA 2K6
Madden 06
Amped 3
Ridge Racer 6
Tony Hawks Wasteland
Tiger Woods

and some games should hit $24.99 status like

King Kong
Quake 4
Perfect Dark Zero

The true greatest hits are like Call of Duty 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3, and certainly PGR3's price could go way down, but with COD2 still selling well, why lower the price. Oblivion is definitely a greatest hits game for the 360, but it will be some time before we see that one reduced too.

I would say Kameo.

do not wait for a greatest hits oblivion.

You get cool shizzle with the collectors edition.

probably amped 3, it's already like $35 used. which is fine with me since it was the only game i liked at zero hour/what i've seen out so far. well except for 99 nights, whenever it's coming here.

Call of Duty 2 has had a "Game of the Year" repackaging (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=200180). It includes the patches that salvaged it's online play and more maps. Kind of like How Ninja Gaiden Black was re-released, only Black was sold at $30.

I see the Platinum hits coming out maybe around the holidays, as cheapo 360 stocking stuffers. Even I wouldn't turn down a $20 Kameo.

But considering that the games are $60 instead of $50, do you think that the platinum hits will still be $19.99, or will they perhaps be $24.99 or $29.99?

i expect burnout revenge will be a greatest hits title some day.

i agree that gun won't be in the greatest hits list, thought it was a great game, it wasn't really a true blue xbox 360 release, so i couldn't see it being a 360 greatets hit.

The Game Boy Advanced ones are $19.99, down from $35-30. It's a good number, no matter the platform.

Yeah, $19.99 puts it in that impulse buy range for alot of people. When something is $19.99 you don't really have to think about it too much, you just buy it if it's a game that you like.

My current policy is that buying any game for $24.99 or more doesn't make any sense at all, at least for me personally. There are rental plans out there, that let you rent any game imaginable for $3.50 per month. Do the math. Most games get played heavily for a few months, and then see little if any action after that. I can rent something for 4 months, get my fill of it, and then rent it later if I really feel the urge. But if a game was $19.99 or possibly even $24.99, then it might, just might....actually make more sense to purchase outright than rent. But anything over $24.99 isn't going to see any of my $$$.
