I just bought this game a few days ago and it's way too short and shallow IMO. The first hour or two was kinda cool, started to suck me in like the old tomb Raider days, then just lack'd period :/

I was really hoping for some new puzzle and gameplay? I think the game only had like 2-4 switches in it?

Your thoughts on this game? How many trade'd it up already? :P

I took my damn time with this game. I played it for maybe 20 minutes every couple of days, for about 3 weeks and it still felt short as hell. Don't get me started about how it ended either, it's probably one of the most anticlimactic endings ever.

Yea!? What happen'd there? and each level felt extreamly short, I love these types of adventure games, ohhh well. They sure seem far and few these days.

Anybody play that ICO 2 game? Shadow of something?(whatever it is) was that as good as ICO?

Some people think they did that incase the game bombed. That way they didn't have to put too much effort into it, but can release a "sequel" and earn even more money because of it's success.

Shadow of Colossus is not a sequel to Ico, but could be set in the same world. It's development name was "Nico", which some people assumed it to be a sequel to Ico, but it's just developed by the team that made Ico.

It is a good game, well worth the wait and is a must have for anyone who enjoyed Ico. I ended up almost smashing the game tho, since I kept on hitting a lot of glitches towards the end of the game (one resulting in me falling through a colossus), but other than that it was a nice experience.

Think of it as Zelda, only instead of entering dungeons, you climb giants and take them down with no mercy.

Not a lot of swtiches because they were trying to change up the franchise. Instead, you have entire levels wrapped around a single puzzle. Who wants to flip switches when you have mammoth puzzles like that?

Yeah, I was bummed out about how short it was too. My save file says that I completed it in a little less than 10 hours (but I took my time trying to find all those hidden statues).

What made me even more depressed though is how incredibly EASY it was. Most of the puzzles could have been solved by a 8 year old. I wish it would have been more difficult like the original TR so you actually had to use your brain to finish it. Waaaay too much gunplay in Legend too.

It was a good game but I just wish it was a lot more difficult. Unfortunately they don't make games like that anymore.

Rather have a solid 10 hour game (metroid prime)

than a boring/stretched/padded 40 hour game (wind waker)

I remember Metroid Prime and Wind Waker being around the same ammount of time, then again that's just me.

That may be good for renting, but anyone that spends $50-$60 on a new game that can be finished in less than 10 hours is going to be pissed off.

Tomba Raider? Can you imagine? You would go after the evil pigs that want to screw Lara Croft. :)

Since when have tomb raider games been 40 hours anyway? I always say that its better to have a good 10 hour game, than a long and repetitve 40 hour game. Think of how boring it would have became just pushing the same boxes and flipping on the same poles for another 20-30 hours. I think the games length was fine, I mean sure its dissapoing if you buy it for $50 (or $65 if u buy 360 version like me) but these are things you need to read reviews for so you know how long a game is before you buy it.

Speaking of reviews, heres my DP review for the game. Its pretty long and I think I cover every espect of the game, so if you wanna read it look here:

Nowadays whenever I hear people complain that a game is too short, my interest in said game increases dramatically.

Short games are better. 90% of the time, longer games are only longer because they have useless filler, a large amount of backtracking, or stupid "collect all these trinkets" bullshit.

There is absolutely no "replay value" in 40-hr Games Nouveaux. Unlockables don't provide replay value. NiGHTS is an incredibly short game, but I've easily spent a total of 80+ hours playing it.

BULL! SHEEEEIIIIIIITTTT!!! Dude :/

I wanna be digg'n, solving puzzles, and exploring crap for hours and hours on end. If your stupid enough to think this game was worth every penny of $29.00+ ??? I've got some great short games for you @$29+ :P

If it's a really good short game, you will be doing that.

Sounds like the real complaint here isn't that it was too short, but that it just wasn't very fun. I don't know, I haven't played Tomb Raider Legends.

The price shouldn't be a focal point. I mean, if price is a concern, just wait for the price to drop. Or rent it. If you're going to concern yourself about whether or not every game you play is worth $X, then just get Gamefly or something.

I paid full retail price for NiGHTS when it came out. This is a game with a grand total of 7 stages, and can be completed is one sitting. I also paid full retail price for Courier Crisis when it came out. This is a game that boasts over 250 missions. NiGHTS was worth every penny, but Courier Crisis made me feel ripped off.

Tomb Raider was great, and I felt the length was fine. Granted, for a Tomb Raider game, it could've been longer, but it really doesn't bother me. What was there was extremely worthwhile.

If you want to sit around one video game for 40+ hours, then sit down with a RPG. I want my action/adventure games to be to the point. I don't want to have to run out to the mystic caves to get the newest potion that will enable me to get past the guard that enjoys the new potions, and that in turn will gain me access to the castle that plays host to the King that must be pleased in order to gain access to the northern lands, but he wants the magical berries from the forest of death.

It was good at least 7.9/10 not as good as pop ttt though now that was long and exciting at least 9.1/10 lots of replay value too...

TRL was very enjoyable though I don't like my games too hard.... England and that damn hydra boss were kinda stinky though. Nepal and Peru were awesome though.... I liked RE4 styled shooting but the actual combat was a bit weird and it wasn't really worth doing beside looking cool....

The end was kinda meh but overall good game worthy of a purchase. :D
