I found this article by Robert Cringely, who did the PBS show "Triumph of the Nerds". He talks about a new technology called ProGATE... Interesting read.... thought you guys might be interested...

MY GOD, can that guy babble on or what?!?! GET TO THE POINT!
Anyways, after FINALLY finding the point of the article.... I don't see it have much of an impact at all.
Most games don't even go on a DVD yet, because they don't take up that much space, nevermind double-layer DVD's.
PLUS, CD's and DVD's are so damn cheap to produce, it would be cheaper to make a 4-DVD game than it would be to pay the $3 fee to use their technology and fit it all on one DVD. (Fee amount made up, but you get my point)
