View Full Version : 1 Live account for 2 Xbox's? (Xbox + 360)

I'm planing on getting a 360 soon. Due to Microsoft's piss-poor selection of backwards compatible Xbox titles on the 360, I plan on keeping my old Xbox to play those on. I'm just wondering though if I'll need to buy 2 Live accounts (one for each system) or if I can have just 1 and share it between my Xbox and 360. Anyone know?

I can tell you with 100% certain-ness that If you have an XBOX 360 live account, then recover that account on the XBOX one, then they can both play on live (not at precisely the same time, but you get the idea)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I actually knew that you can transfer your Xbox Live account to your 360 (and vice versa), but what I'm trying to figure out is if I can have both systems active on Live at the same time. Would be way more convenient to do that instead of having to re-enter all your account info every time you want to play online with the other system.

ya i have both using the same live account.

For some reason though my gamerscore and stuff that i had before i transferred my old live account to my 360 went away and i had two "Sothy" profiles. just transeferred the save games and deleted the old one.

So like in oblivion the only achievements i have are champion of cyrodill and closing the great gate... which should technically be impossible.

220+ isn't exactly a poor selection.

And yeah you can use it on both. Your account is independant of your console.

220+ isn't exactly a poor selection..

I'm talking quality titles, not quantity. A good chunk of those 220+ are garbage games and outdated sports titles.

Very true, It makes no sense to me why Microsoft would even waste their time putting games like Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures on the list.

It not that they went out of their way to do it, its just that by putting one of the more popular titles on, this one just happened to work due to similar programming.
