I didn't think so. A buddy of mine @ work wanted to trade his nomad to me for my SNES; let's just say I'm glad I won this auction.

Is there really a piece that makes a Nomad vibrate? The thing in the picture is just the battery box I think.

I'm pretty sure it's a battery box. I don't recall a vibrating thing ever being released for the nomad. I really hope that I don't get a genny instead of the nomad ( I already have one of those).

Interesting to note that the "carrying case" is for the SEGA Game Gear...didn't know the Nomad would fit in there...

Yeah, I've got a feeling that the person selling this has no idea what it is, and just wanted to get rid of it. Maybe they thought it was a genny since it takes the games, and it can hook up to the TV.

Update: I received the Nomad today (not a Genny), and it's as fun to play as I had imagined. Surprisingly, the nomad fits quite well in the game gear case.
