Hello

How much would you spend for a M.A.C.S. (SNES) ?
The game is cartridge only. I think about to sell my copy.

You can't play it when you don't have the gun, but maybe here are some guys who collect Prototypes and One-of-a-kinds....

Do you have a picture?

I know exactly what you're talking about... You're talking about the cartridge used when American servicemen are training with M16 rifles, correct? (I used the exact same setup when I was in the Army about 2 years ago).

As for an offer...I'm terrible at making offers, but I do have a figure in mind, and if I still have that left over after my bills are taken care of, I'll send you a PM (if it hasn't already sold).

Yes, I have pictures from the cartridge.

Everybody who want some pics please send me a PM, I'll get back to you soon. I also send you an "ingame-picture" from the start-menu.

@mb7241 Yes, exactly, I'm talking about the Multi-Purpose Arcade Combat Simulator (M.A.C.S.) which was used and developed by the US-Army. Rarity 10 (Prototype, One-of-a-kind) in the digitpress-online-rarity-guide.

I only think about to sell it...depends on the offers

its definately rare, but i doubt if prototype/one of a kind is the right label for this, since its clearly neither.

would be so awesome to have the gun sights for it.

The highest bid is 500 Dollar for this card so far.
I wrote the highest bidder a PM if this is ok for him that I mention his name here in the thread.
Some guys don't want it....and I do respect that.

you are right....it's not a proto and it's not a one-of-a-kind when 500 copies were made.

But I think to GET a cartridge is nearly impossible. You can't get it on ebay (never saw one before) and in a forum it's also nearly impossible to get one and you also can't get it at the US-Army-Base in your town.

It's easier to get protos from games e.g. Zelda, Final Fantasy..... as to get this cartridge...in my opinion.

Never saw a pic from the cartridge itself on the i-net before....

$500? That's far out of my price range... I'd probably take that offer if I were you (heck, my own offer would've only been $200).

Was the M16 snes gun ever made for everyone?

No.

In fact, wasn't the Super Scope the only light gun, 1st or 3rd party, made for the SNES?

According to the picture of the guy with the M16 pointed at the TV and SNES, I'd say that there might be another gun out there, and a pretty wicked looking one at that :)

There were also the "Justifier" pink and blue magnum light guns for Lethal Enforcers as well.

I know you're right- it's kind of weird though, I never see them in the wild.

Hi,
I used one of those when I was in the Army Reserves. That was back in 1998.They are alot of fun.Very touchy with the M-16 trigger. We used it to help soliders with qualification.I doubt that there are many out there.Good luck in selling it.Hopefully you are happy with what you get for it.That is the real value of it. 8-)

Man, if I only had some cash now (no job) I would make offers. I used one in the army in 2000, they are pretty fun but they are repetitive. I would love to see more info on it sometime.

Good luck with that DreamTR, also last year wasn't there somebody else who said he had one, and may be able to get more? people were offering $100 to $200 for it, i can't remember what else happened after that?

I think i have seen one before thou, does it have a white label with the name of the game? on the front of the cart? pretty basic, just the name on a white sticker?

I did email a training office at the US army, he told me they had used it, but he wasn't in charge of it, he did give me an email address of an other trainer that had more knowledge of the programme. but i never heard back, i might email them again and see if anything comes of it.

it would be great if it worked with the Jusifier guns!

Hello again

To make the bidding an end:

Everybody can give me the highest bid via PM....and the highest bid will get the cart. The actual price is 555 Dollar...so you have to bid more if you want the cart.

Everybody who wants the cart can give me only ONE bid. I will give the cart to the highest bid. End of bidding is tomorrow at the same time of THIS POSTING.
Shipment is not included!!! Price for the shipment WITH insurance is about 40 Dollar (not more). I don't know exactly the shipment cost to the USA but when it's cheaper than 40 Dollar you will get the rest-money back to your paypal account.

You can be sure that this cart is NO fake....if you are unsure please send me a PM

Good luck to everybody

Even if you did get the gun, good luck shipping an M16, even if it is fake.

I heard about MACS a couple of years ago and forgot about it completly until this thread opened up.

I remember reading that it utilized a hollowed out M16 rifle that was designed to work with the cart and the SNES. Nothing is designed to work with it other than those rifles. Thats not to say that if you know what you were doing that you couldn't make something work but the army spent a lot of money to develop this system. I would have to guess that there are less than 10 carts out there in privitized collection and next to none of the rifles in anyone but the army's possession. They would be highly reluctant to let a cart go let alone a rifle due to cost and security purposes. My guess is that any carts that are out there dissappeared from army possession or were given to by or possessed by high ranking instructors.
