How many games do you think will be released for the Nintendo DS before they stop publishing it?
Reason I am asking is I am collecting Nintendo DS games and am just wondering how many will I need to be complete in the end.

Don't you think its a little early in the system's life to be wondering this?
GB lasted years, and GBA still has stuff coming out.

It probably is.
I was only thinking if the release doesn't exceed 600-700 ish then there is a chance for me to have a complete collection. Otherwise, there are too many games, just like the playstation.

It'll probably have close, if not over 1000.

i'm also a DS collector...
but i gotta agree with what some of the others are saying here... the GBA has hundreds upon hundreds now and is still getting new games this many years after it's initial release... DS stands a chance of being even MORE popular than GBA... we're nearly at 150 games already and we're not even 2 years in... once the GBA dies, the DS continues to grow in popularity, and publishers are pushing out DS games quickly... we'll probably be looking at the higher end of 500-1000.

My Predictions
700 games will have a release in all of the 3 Main Territories
250 games will be in Japan and the US Only
1350 games will be in the US and Europe Only
185 games will be in Japan and Europe Only
975 games will be Japan Only
1290 games will be US Only
550 games will be Europe Only
The Total Games For the DS will be
5300 GAMES

Has any worldwide system ever had that many Europe-exclusive games?
Not counting computers, I mean. I'm sure the C64 and the like had a ton of Europe-only titles.

I think you are going to be buying games for this collection for a LONG time. It's doing so well I'm sure we're going to see it around for quite a while.

The DS is officially dead...there will be only be 1 new release. A japanese dating sim.
Someone has to bet the lowball on "The Price is Right", right?
