View Full Version : Mysteriously cheap recently-ended auctions (Panesians, etc.)

Has anyone seen this guy's auctions? $200 for all three Panesians, with 99.9% positive feedback on over 800 transactions, among other things. Who won these? What the hell's going on? Why has eBay had so many sick-ass auctions in the past week or so?

Good seller about to go bad?
I dunno, seems suspicious. Doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would lack knowledge to the point where he's pricing 3 panesians for 200..

It appears he's a new-ish member here. Looks like he was involved in an inane ebay dispute with machinegex. See here:

I don't know what that means, but it definitely looks suspect. (Of course, had I seen these auctions first, I'd have jumped all over them while making sure to protect myself).

With as little as I know about collecting, this jumps at me as whoa wait a minute, I think I'm about to be scammed. It could be a legit deal, but it screams fishy.

Yeah, that was something that stuck out as especially strange. It seems like he would know what they're worth (what would all three Panesians complete in one auction go for, anyway? $1500?) or assume that they are worthless, and have a $5 buy it now or something, but nothing in between.

He seems to have a decent grasp of whats harder to find than what by reading his descriptions, but since he 'lives' by the BIN, he also 'dies' by it. Despite a couple of bargains, a good portion of his auctions are fairly priced around market value. Terranigma and the boxed NES are good examples of this.

Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and Earthbound Complete for $250...O_o
I would like to see him list some magic cards >> << I could wish for a set of P9's for $250?

Seems rather suspect to me, as well. No pics, either :/ ...

And we have the first negative from these outrageous auctions. However, it looks like the buyer (reseller) didn't like being ignored, which is one of the seller's condition. The seller states not to email him for EIGHTEEN DAYS about the status of item.

I don't care what the prices are, I'd stay the hell away from this guy.

This guy knows what he has. He has been submitting a lot of rare NES games pics on stageselect.com. Here is an exemple for Honey Peach

Looky looky...he's NARU as of today.
And it looks like its gonna get nasty. They're banding together at a website thanks to sydscotch.
4 unique negatives and 8 total if you count Nowitzness below.
Phew...and I was gonna snatch one of those Ghostbusters DVD sets he had.
But if you look at the positives he was receiving, they were all for cheapo items. He could afford to send those to keep the people he kept feeding lies to optimistic.

I don't know if anyone has kept up with this, but I have.

Everyone got their hopes up because he received a couple of positive feedbacks, but like I stated earlier they were for cheaper items. NOT the high end stuff we were amazed were being sold so cheaply.
And he also provided delivery confirmation/tracking numbers.
Read it and you won't believe what he's had the audacity to do now.
EMPTY BOXES so Paypal will side with him. Throw in bad TO and FROM addresses to make sure no one gets their hands on them, and you've got a BIG TIME FRAUD case here.

Its really ill :( This is big time fraud. All who have been scammed need to report him to www.ic3.gov and the local police station. Paypal dont have the power to do anything, except close his account.

It sucks for the people who got scammed, but let's get real here. Even with all his feedback, it was obvious that something was up. It's not like these Panesians were being sold by a mom and pop video store for well below market value. They were being sold for well below market value by someone who knew what they were worth. When the deal is way too good to be true, it many times is.

The link is down, but it still might be possible to get more information from the DC number.
Find the originating PO, and see if they can find out where it was delivered. Contact the house it was delivered at and try to obtain the package. Also, see if they can peg a credit card number on the transaction where the DC number was issued.
