Hand me down N-gage

This weekend a friend just gave me an "old" N-gage because I collect gaming things. I guess it is old, honestly this is the first time I have ever held one. I am currently needing to get an ac adapter for it and according to him it needs an active sims chip to be able to play games, is this true?

I have seen a number of N-gage collectors posting for sometime now, what would you recommend game-wise, sims chip issue, ac adapter, etc...

i think a lot of nokia cell phone ac adaptors will work. that is what I use. check a cell phone shop

You'll need a SIM card. It doesn't have to be active, the ngage ships with a dummy one.

Yeah, a cheap Nokia-compatible charger and a sim card are all you need to get moving.

Lots of the newer games are awesome. I've personally enjoyed Glimmerati, System Rush, and Call to Glory. Some of the most highly-rated ones are the later Tom Clancey games, Colin McRae Rally (so many tracks!) Ashen, and the Urban GT games.

Best bet... get yourself an MMC card off ebay and load it with emulators for the NES, SMS, GG, and GB. I have spent countless hours with that.

Don't forget SNAKES... the free download off Nokia's website. It's one of the system's better games.

I've had a hell of a time finding MMC cards. I managed to get a number of 64 meg ones for $4.00 each locally.

But yeah once you get an MMC card you can use your n-gage as an mp3 player, video player, emulator, etc...
