Selling my entire collection! 3500 -/+ Games, systems, etc.

Yep, you heard me right. Don't get me wrong though...I'm NOT tired of collecting nor am I tired of playing games. Unfortunately real life has caught up with me, I'm 17,000.00 in debt trying to keep my store running, my bills are overwhelming and sales are horribly slow at my store because I can't afford to restock. I'm stuck in a rut at the moment and I need a fresh start. Once everything is sold, I'm starting my collection over!

So yeah, I'm selling everything, well almost everything. Probably about 95% of it all. Most of it's going on eBay, especially if it's something of significant value. I will use this thread to link to eBay auctions but I'd also like to give DPers the opportunity to purchase some things from me as well. Everything will be sold at current market (ebay) value, and I hope everyone understands this, because if I don't sell like that then it defeats the purpose of me doing this in the first place.

Hmmm, I'm about half and half on a LOT of systems, like NES, SNES, N64 is about 1/4 complete. It's really really varied.

Ok, one quick update, as of right now I don't think I'll be selling any of my DS games. I LOVE my DS and they'll only be sold as a last resort.

Still working on getting through these PMs, I noticed I have some people that want one thing and another that wants the same, It's going to be MAJORLY hard to hold things for people so I'm going to have to go with a "whoever says they'll buy it first gets it" system here. So if you want to buy something, let me know, because I'm not going to be able to hold games whenever you inquire about the price of it.

To your other point, I've personally thought about giving up trying to sell things on here due to a tremendous number of window shoppers and unreasonable offers during my latest threads. I'm working on a new B&S thread soon and I'll probably give it one more go and see what happens.

I know we have a feedback forum to help weed people out, and we shouldn't think of this site as a Buying/Selling/Trading forum, but sheesh, it’s ridiculous.

Someone who is more level headed than me should put together a buying/selling etiquette thread and sticky it so we can reference something. Include topics like:

Q) Under what circumstances should you ask for a deal?
A) When you're buying a large quantity of items. Two or three items does not constitute a large quantity.

Q) When should I ask for something to be put on hold?
A) When you're planning on paying within the next 24 hours and only when you've got a 100% commitment to buy.

Q) What offers should I make on certain items?
A) Check eBay and look at average prices if possible. If you're buying a single item or a few low priced items, a good rule of thumb is to price it around 5% less than eBay's average. That should make up for the difference in fees.

Q) I want a rare/expensive game but I don't have the money for it. Should I offer significantly less than its worth just to see what happens?
A) No.

Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera…

remind me never to buy from you or sell you anything. Good grief, if you don't like an offer say no. Or make your own "etiquette" rules at the top of your B/S post, but don't expect everybody to abide by your idea of what's fair. Cause your etiquette rules basically come out to "I'm not gonna do a damn thing to help you out"

If you think that my suggestions aren't in the ballpark of what a reasonable transaction should consist of then please don't buy anything from me and save both of us a headache.

I'm saying that, essentially, if you commit to buy, do so, and don't insult both of our intelligence by offering half of what I'm asking for a particular item plus free shipping and wasting my PM space. If you find a seller willing to do that, then by all means, buy away but in all of my transactions here, I’ve never found that to be the case.

And I don't know if I'm reading between the lines right or not but your "I'm not gonna do a damn thing to help you out" seems to equate to looking for handouts. I've got excellent feedback here and 300+ perfect feedback on eBay. I know how to respect my buyers and I'm grateful that 99% of them know how to respect me. This includes making deals, including freebes, and upgrading shipping for free. I also try to be a respectful buyer and always pay within 24 hours of making a commitment to buy. Handouts not withstanding.

Regardless, if you want to take this further, you can PM me and we can continue. My original post was in support of Cmosfm’s post about lowball offers, nothing more, nothing less.
