im going to be buying a neo geo 4 slot but the motherboard needs to be replaced so i have 2 questions

how hard is going to be to replace the motherboard?

how much will the motherboard cost and where can i aquire one at .

it wont be hard to replace....but it may cost you just as much as it would to just find and buy a new cab......

Uhm. What? Where are they selling working dedicated 4-slot Neo Geo MVS machines for under 200 bucks (if a genuine 4-slot is what he has)?

Ebay has 2 4-slot PCBs up for under 100 right now. Keep an eye out on RGVAM (or even post a WTB there). Hell. Post a WTB in the buying and selling here. There are also the shop and forums of neo-geo.com and online places like coinopexpress.com (heard shipping kills from this place) and fillmoregames.com (shipping kills here also...located in Japan). Arcade Infinity also had some 4-slot boards for around 150 IIRC...when they had a website.

That should be enough to get you started...

Check the neo-boards. Its not hard to replace, its just a simple plug and play. They go from $100-$120 usually.

I bought mine for $100.
