I could be wrong but it seems like Konami is the only one with the different cabs

I'm 99% certain that there's no 3-player version. I've never seen one in a 3-player cab, haven't seen pics of one, haven't seen screenshots of a version that would allow for three player health meters, etc. Not that it's impossible if Capcom included some extras in the kit, but it's doubtful. :)

did Konami actually make different CABINETS for these games though? I know they released them in kit form so that 2-player versions could be converted from old cabinets, but I don't recall ever seeing specific Konami-made 2-player cabinets.

The ones I seen always had the different generic art.
