7 years ago today I joined eBay, my first 'win' was Virtual Fishing for Virtual Boy.
After that, many USA and Japan only items, and Andrew Davies Odyssey collection, now I got over 300 purchases from eBay (I've given 355 feedbacks, received 278 feedbacks, all positive), and a few sales too.

Wow, we joined at almost the same time. My 7th Ebay birthday was April 5th. I don't remember what the first thing I bought or sold with this account was. I had been selling stuff through my work's Ebay account for awhile and my friend's account. My first Ebay transaction was selling a Dark Tower board game in 1997 or early 1998 on my friend's account. I just noticed I've left exactly 3500 feedbacks so that should be real close to the number of transactions I've had.

My work's Ebay account was started in January 1999 and we've left 17671 feedbacks. Wow, that's over 20,000 Ebay transactions I've had some part in.

good stuff. I am at 316 positive feedback, but on the whole have 425 transactions.... I like to deal with the same selles that's why.

On the 25th it will be 9 years for me. I started by selling my sports cards and moved into videos and video games as a way to raise money to pay for my wedding.

1997 eh? Me too :) Can't really remember how or why I started but I remember thinking I was late to the party. My first negative was for some guy who claimed not to receive payment for a $2 item :/

I also joined in 1997 (June 8th, 1997), and also used my eBay account at first to buy basketball cards and then video games. Didn't realize it's been 9 years already!

I wonder how many people even realized that eBay used to be called AuctionWeb. When did they change the name anyway?

Joined beginning of 1999 here, though I'd known about eBay since 1996, I didn't sign up cos I was at university and didn't have money to spend on it :P

I really don't know if it's something to brag about; because my relationship with evilBay has always been a love/hate one. I look at them as a necessment (is that a word?) to my procuring games. If I had other options (Yeah I know.. forums like this and local sources.. but they can't get me the volume of games in the time..I want) I wouldn't use eBay at all.

I guess the thing I'm most proud of though is the fact that I've had the same account with the same user ID since then (scorch56.. everywhere). I don't change my ID every other 6 months like some do (mostly resellers of which I'm not); or to divert bad feedback. I take the bad with the good. Yes.. I know that your FB follows you even if you change your ID.. but changing your ID makes you somewhat "unrecognizable" for a spell after a bad incident.

I'm also very proud of the fact that I've left WAY more feedback for others than they have for me (kinda' sucks.. but some sellers just don't shive-a-git).
