SMB3...Different World Maps?

Hey,

I seem to recall a few people mentioning Super Mario 3 had different world maps then what was released. Any pictures on these?

There's an alternate World 1 Map on the back of the early boxes, plus some translation errors that were later fixed. Other than that, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

There's a Super Mario Bros. 3 "Delta 1" and "Delta 2" ROM release where a romhacker has rebuilt some of the levels that were shown in early development shots and changed some things around. There are quite a few hidden / unfinished levels that were left in the program code of the finished game. While these aren't accessible through normal play on an NES, they can be harvested out of a romdump with the proper tools.

I'm not home right now but should be for awhile at the end of next week. If no one's posted it by then or you haven't found it yourself, I'll either post the rom or point you in the right direction.

Pretty cool stuff. They didn't have a picture of the alternate World 1 Map though.
