File this one under WTF. First of all, this is a hacked version of Super Mario Bros. This player uses every known cheat, hack, glitch, whatever to get through this game, which is, in fact, the ONLY way to beat any of these levels.

Pure insanity...The level designs are the most extreme shit ever. I've heard of a LOT of glitches in SMB (see http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/smb_bugs.shtml), but I have never even imagined some of the ones this guy pulls off.

There's several places where he seems to jump in mid-air. Are these invisible blocks or did he find a way to just jump in mid air?

Im more impressed by the hack than the speedrun. Sure, its insane, but it looks like theres too much taking advantage of the glitches than skills. The levels are probly designed with all the glitches, but still its hard to see whats glitch and whats skills.

Neither, actually. The game is modified to allow jumping in mid-air. Though even that isn't enough to get through most of the extremely bizarre situations in the game.

I had never heard of that Air World hack until now. I love NES ROM hacks and I love tool-assisted videos, so, yeah, this was pretty much the best thing I've seen all week.

Yep, Mario has turned into a friggin panda, its basically the same game, though it is pretty glitchy, I'll have to try it out and see if I can do anything real wacky with it
