Too darn good to pass up (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A2p0dzmSn8). I was a bit cheesed that their resident PlayStationologist wasn't Jason, though (come on, give the man some contract work, eh?)

Yeah, I like how Jon does the self-deprecation thing for gamers; the audience is laughing along with him LOL

Actually, something just occured to me.
In the 'joke' area of the video, the one representitive comments, "I slowly working my way through Civ. 4..." except he makes it sound like he's having trouble with it...
If a guy is in charge of helping RUN A COUNTRY can't figure out the game where you RUN A COUNTRY, I think there's a problem then.

If you think that being in congress is anything like playing Civilization, I've got a pretty awesome bridge to sell you!

I thought he was poking a bit of fun at himself with that. At least, I hope that was the case...

The "Pong" sound effects were classy.
But it falls way short of that guy putting his foot in his mouth talking about how "rich suburban kids" would be less likely to steal cars and such. :eek 2:
Out of touch indeed.

this guy Jack Thompson is a serious enemy to the gaming community. I remember in 1999 reading about him in a psx magazine, but didn't think anything of him...untill my girlfriend's bother's friend called his residence and joked around with him. ha.

True story: My best friend IRL who's also on AIM sends me links to funny/interesting stuff all the time, and gave me the link to this video last night. This is why I love The Daily Show. Fred Upton owns. He was an expert in Pong. "Boop-booop-boop-boop". ROFL LOL
This video delivers. Watch it immediately. That is all. 8-)

I can't believe I missed this when it aired. Easily one of my favorite Daily Show reports!
