I was thinking about picking up a 360, but my XBox Live subcription just renewed itself for another year. Can I use the 360 with this regular XBox account?

Yes you can transfer it, it automatcally becomes a GOLD subscription. You can still use the account on the xbox 1 as well.

Yeah, it's similar to the account recovery procedure on the original Xbox.

If you have a microsoft passport ID (ie hotmail) its really easy to do.

As s1lence mentioned, having a Passport account makes it easy, in fact, it is recommended. If you do not have a passport account, I would create one before getting your 360. Then attach your Xbox (1) Gamertag to it. When you setup your Xbox 360, you enter your passport account, and you are off to the races.

yes you can the 360 will ask you if you wish to transfer an account or simply use one of your existing accounts.

you just put info like
name
address
phone#
last 4 digits of credit card.
And it makes a gold account for yr 360.
as long as its the same info you had for the original account.
